Closed. Mega International Commercial Bank Co Ltd Amsterdam Branch no longer operates. The branch announced on 13 January 2026 that it would discontinue its banking activities in the Netherlands and return its banking licence to De Nederlandsche Bank. Its own notice says it is no longer permitted to provide banking services or offer bank accounts there, that all remaining accounts were closed on 30 July 2026, and that money not claimed by 20 May 2026 was transferred to the Consignment Fund held by the Dutch Ministry of Finance, which is where a former customer has to claim it. No bank took the business on. The two authorities do not agree and both are linked above: DNB's public register still carried the branch under article 2:20(1) with no end date against any activity when it was read on 20 September 2026, the day it was last updated, so the licence withdrawal appears not to have been recorded yet, and the Dutch bank-code list still carries ICBC, which is why nothing here says the code has stopped routing. The branch's own account of its operations is what this notice follows, because that is the part a reader with a payment to make needs.
